Hi There, I have a new hobby – memory planning. The products from Paper House Productions are so cute. They inspired me to turn my planner in to a keepsake memory planner, and I’m loving it!
From Date Planner to Memory Planner
The Life Organized collection by Paper House Productions is oh so cute! I love using it in my planner. After a fun vacation, I decided to add a few photos and jot down some memories from our trip, thus my memory planner was born.
Weekly Memory Planner
As odd as it sounds, I started by decorating my planner for the week, then I added the photos. The photos are actually an after thought, as my intent was to use this planner to keep track of my daily to do list. But then I decorated my planner with cute embellies, and well… it was just too cute for a check list of boring to dos!
I’ll show you August a bit out of order, as that’s how this all evolved.
August Camping Trip
Knowing we were going camping, I used the Outdoors Life Organized collection to decorate the weeks of Aug 14th and 21st.
Here’s a peek at the decorated weeks.
Don’t you just love the Outdoors collection!
It’s amazing how many different looks are possible with the same collection!
It’s perfect just as it is for planning our trip and jotting down places to visit, however adding a few photos really transformed my planner into a keepsake.
Isn’t this a fun keepsake from our trip! It’s so amazing how the placement of the embellishments worked out perfectly! I printed some photos in different sizes using my Canon Pro 100, then adhered them to the page with some double sided tape. Next I used my PITT pen to add my memories.
It’s amazing how well all the photos fit on this week too! Love this, so I decided to turn my entire planner into a memory planner.
August Memory Planner
Documenting our trip was fun, so I kept going. Here’s the next week.
It’s August, so it’s still summer to me! Love this totally fun Life Organized Summer collection.
Here’s the same page with a few photos and memories added.
I love this!
My original plan was to only decorate the week at a glance pages starting with my trip, but I soon changed my mind and decorated all of August. Unfortunately, I already utilized the first two week of August in my planner for lists of to dos, so there weren’t places for my photos. My solution, cover the page with white paper and start with a fresh canvas. Here’s how they turned out.
I had a bunch of photos from the first week in August, so that page was easy to do. I love the donuts in the Kawaii Not collection , so I used that collection on this page.
The next week was a bit more challenging, as I didn’t take many photos. I will admit that I’ve been taking more photos of everyday life since I began memory planning. But how to handle a week with only 2 sort of boring photos of house projects. This fun flamingo themed collection is perfect, because it has bright colors and fun images. Did I mention how much I love flamingos? Because I didn’t have many photos I decided to write down lots of my memories from that week with my PITT pen. I think it turned out great!
Month at a Glance
The divider pages have a month at a glance on them. I didn’t want to leave that area blank or remove them, so I decorated it too.
This gave me even more room to journal about the month, so it’s an instant reminder of what a great month August was! This page is decorated with the Life Organized Summer collection.
